Preschoolers

Our innovative Macaque Movement program is designed for the active children who learn best when they are on the move! Classes incorporate dance, movement, ballet and early sport and kung fu fundamentals and emphasize on learning new vocabulary while the children are actively hopping, running, crawling and jumping around.

 

With a different theme, each class is packed with fun games and activities as children become forest animals at a woodland dance party, plié to plant a seed and tendu to water the flowers, practice horse stance and kick just like Kung Fu Panda, crawl like a caterpillar and fly like a butterfly, compete with their favorite stuffed animal to win the challenge of identifying different body parts, and pretend to be little cats playing hide and seek with each other while not trying to let the bells on their paws give them away!

 

Classes are taught in 100% Mandarin and children do not need a background in Mandarin to join as they become familiar with the language through movements and body cues. In addition to language development, the program is also designed to foster teamwork, respect, social-emotional wellbeing, the ability to follow instructions and other important life skills as children socialize with their peers through games and actively participate in team activities to succeed.

 

Caretakers are required to stay with their children for the duration of the class. Background in Mandarin Chinese is not required.
